The 81st Annual Convention of the American Association of French Teachers will take place in Liege, Belgium from July 16 to July 19, 2008.

As CERAN BELGIUM is located in the charming little town of Spa, only 35 miles outside of Liege, CERAN BELGIUM, a partner of the AATF Annual Convention 2008, is setting up special programs and events for French teachers attending the convention.

French Immersion and Belgian Culture for French Teachers

Boost your level of conversational French and discover Belgian culture during an intensive French immersion experience at the most famous language school of Belgium!

After the annual convention in Liege, from July 20 to July 25, 2008, CERAN will be offering a special one-week program for teachers of French. The program will give participants a chance to learn about the Belgian cultural heritage, literature, music, history and gastronomy through famous Belgian characters (such as Brel, Hergé-Tintin, Justine Henin…), and to experience the CERAN method.

Teaching in small classes (max of 6 participants per group) and constant support from trainers from 8AM to 10PM will ensure terrific progress in conversational French. Price of EUR 1700 includes tuition, course, material, full board and accommodation from Sunday evening until Friday afternoon. Each teacher participating in the CERAN program will receive 5 vouchers of a value of EUR 100 each, to be used by their students on CERAN JUNIORS programs or CERAN YOUNG ADULTS programs.

July 15, 2008 - A day in Spa:
Language, culture, history and thermal baths

The town of Spa gave its name to all spas and was the watering hole of the entire aristocracy of Europe in the 18th and 19th centuries. Often referred to as the Pearl of the Ardennes, Spa is an attractive town nestled in the unspoiled countryside of the Belgian Ardennes, not far from Liege.

On July 15, embark in a pre-convention adventure :

  • Learn about the fascinating history of Spa and the region
  • Tour this unique little town that boasts a covered gallery as well as the oldest casino in Europe
  • Visit the CERAN language center and meet the trainers
  • Relax at the thermal baths

The cost of the excursion is USD 30/person and includes the entrance to the thermal baths. Spouses and partners are welcomed and advanced registration is required through the AATF.

 

CERAN JUNIORS for your students and kids in Ferrieres

Give a chance to your students and kids to skyrocket their level of French while you are attending the AATF annual convention in Liege!

In Ferrieres, just 30 miles from Liege, CERAN JUNIORS provides intensive language programs for kids aged 10 to 18 during the summer. The full immersion programs include classes, fun activities and excursions (everything is in French) and are attended every year by motivated teenagers from all over the world.
