CERAN Complete Immersion Concept

Every day from 8 am to 10.30 pm you can concentrate on a single objective: progressing, daring to communicate and expressing yourself freely in the target language - Living in the target language.

All our programs consist of nine learning activities, each lasting 45 minutes, five days a week. These structured and systematic learning sessions are complemented by a great variety of opportunities for practicing the language during breaks, meals and evening sessions led by our trainers. This approach ensures that you consolidate your knowledge and gain real communication skills that take full account of the cultural dimension of learning a foreign language.

All in all, this adds up to at least 35 hours of lessons per week, reinforced by a further 35 hours of practice supervised by our trainers, learning how to "be" and "do", in the target language.

The exclusive use of the target language throughout the day forms CERAN concept of complete immersion. From breakfast until the end of the evening, and every minute in between, you benefit from the constant support of CERAN trainers and facilitators.

CERAN Techniques

QRI (Question, Response, Intonation) is an interactive technique based on a system of questions and responses, providing a natural way to help the student improve his or her ability to communicate orally.

Key Sentences summarize the essential points of each lesson in the form of sentences that can be transposed into other contexts. They are recorded onto  CDs that  students can take with them at the end of their stay. .

The verbo-tonal method for phonetic correction (developed by the University of Mons-Hainaut in Belgium) helps to improve the perception of sounds and thus the comprehension of a message. It also helps correct intonation, rhythm, stress, and sound production.

CERAN Lifestyle

Our daily challenge is to succeed in meeting your needs for a high return and rapid progress through our unique approach.

Speed, efficiency and rigor go hand in hand with conviviality in our CERAN centers.

You will find hospitality and a lifestyle which favor an interpersonal and cultural approach to motivate learners.

Hospitality, lifestyle, enthusiasm, rigorous learning and a concern for results: this combination is the secret to the success of CERAN centers.

A multi-cultural environment

The diversity of origins and interests of participants brings an irrefutable added value to your language learning.

A Swiss banker, a Brazilian engineer, a Dutch human resources director, an American journalist, a Finnish diplomat, a Japanese consultant, an Italian civil servant working for the European Commission - participants rich in cultural origins, professional trainings and experiences of life are all grouped together with one common objective: mastering a foreign language.
