One-week modules
At CERAN centers, we offer flexible one-week modules starting every Sunday evening and lasting until Friday afternoon. Our centers are open all year-round except for the last week of December and first week of January. You can therefore choose the dates that best fit your schedule. Your objectives and groups may change each week, allowing you to focus on a variety of topics during your stay.

Based on your background and objectives, we let you choose the program that best suits your needs:

Learning activities
The 3 types of programs we offer are based on the following learning activities:
Group Lessons
The groups consist of between 2 and 4 participants.
The objective of the group lessons is to develop the communication skills of each participant in accordance with individual needs and learning styles. Depending on your level, the lessons will focus either on general or more specialized comprehension and expression. Through presentation exercises, for example, the trainer introduces, systematizes and reviews the linguistic and communication objectives set with the group.
Depending on the level of the group, these lessons may be based on the Lingua Management® approach, which uses techniques such as role-play to teach the resources necessary for the effective management of interpersonal communications. This activity teaches both language and managerial skills at the same time. The INDEPENDENT module includes 1 Lingua Management® lesson per day, and the EXPERT module includes 2.
Private Lessons
The aim of the private lessons is to respond to your objectives:
- professional objectives: making a presentation, chairing a meeting, negotiating…
- socio-cultural objectives: receiving visitors, booking travel, making an appointment…
- language reinforcement: revisiting a grammatical point, improving pronunciation, learning new vocabulary…
- written work: writing reports, letters, e-mails…
Phonetic Training
Our phonetic training* is based on Speedlingua® software, which develops both your perception and your pronunciation, rapidly improving your linguistic performance. [* In Japanese, a specific phonetic correction workshop is run by teachers trained in the verbo-tonal method. ]
Supervised Language Laboratory
The objective of the language laboratory is to improve listening comprehension skills, to systematize structures of the language, review key sentences, and have your pronunciation difficulties addressed by a CERAN instructor.
Supervised Study
During study periods, you prepare for lessons for the next day, work on writing assignments, and have the opportunity to do review exercises under the guidance of a CERAN instructor.
