Young Adults Program

Are you a college student who wants to improve his/her knowledge of French or English ?  Are you getting ready for an exam? Would you like to get a job placement abroad, follow a course and have a better understanding of your required reading or just prepare for your career?

The CERAN LINGUA Young Adults programme works by complete immersion.  The intensive language work and supervised practice will help you make the maximum progress in the shortest time.

The program

The Young Adults Program is a special program for students aged 18 to 22 in higher education, who already have a knowledge in the target language. The program includes:

7 daily periods in groups of no more than 6 students;

  • 2 general oral lessons (expressing a choice, persuading someone, refusing to compromise, etc.)
  • 1 oral comprehension lesson (understanding a news report, about Europe, etc.)
  • 1 specialist oral lesson (going to a job interview, leading a discussion, etc.)
  • 1 writing workshop (drawing up a CV, summarizing a text, taking notes in class, etc.)
  • 1 lab / e-learning or 1 private lesson
  • 1 workshop preparing for cultural activities or 1 period of individual study

Continuous practice of the language studied during:

  • Breaks and meals with instructors;
  • Sports, cultural, and leisure activities at the end of the day;
  • Themed evenings (cross-cultural events, discovering local specialties, etc.);
  • Activities during the mid-course weekend:
  • CERAN PROVENCE : cultural and sports weekend with exploration of the architectural and cultural heritage of Aix-en-Provence and canyoning or water-rambling activities in the local gorges
  • CERAN JUNIORS Spain (Malaga): TBD

Dates and Prices

2-week session from Sunday evening to Saturday morning (mid-break weekend included).
Our courses are residential in single rooms (no homestays).

In addition, you can take private lessons, subject to availability.

Rates are valid for programs taking place at CERAN Provence and CERAN JUNIORS Spain in 2009. Rates include taxes and are guaranteed provided the Euro-US Dollar exchange rate does not exceed 1.40.
